As for this one. blue thing is called a dreadnought. it's basically a life support + mech suit for those great and elite space Marines who were severely wounded in battle. the dreadnought is made for war. so being put in one disables your ability to do anything else but fight. these dreadnoughts are also tended by Techpriest usually young and new ones. who give them food and pray for them. sometimes the Techpriest and Dreadnoughts then form a bond, which enables both too feel true emotions once more. either the techpriests weeping as the dreadnought is called back to war. or the dreadnought who is reminded of the very things he was trained to fight for.
