im always curious if a company could claim that works of pornography aren't transformative in nature. like, you're literally transforming what the character is by putting them into different settings and scenes, making a parody of who they are. right? there's no way a company would have legal ground to claim its copyright infringement, even though ellen page literally did that to this exact property. and won. so uh.... idk anymore.
