You put a condom on a dildo or even a vibrator at times to keep it clean. You’re telling me if you’re showing something up inside you and once you’re done you’re just gonna throw it in your drawer? There’s dust, and then the residue, it’s much easier to cover it up and then throw out of the used condom. I feel like anyone could figure this out- it’s basic hygiene 

Hygiene, “keep it clean”. Put a condom on a dildo to lower the need to clean it. No residue, No dust, No must, No crust. Easier clean up and good hygiene.

That is a fair point but the issue could also be that it’s electric? Not to mention a condom usually has some type of lube so perhaps for easier insertion or just so that she would need to by lube??
